Larry C. Ebel, 83, of Falls City, NE, passed away on April 16th, 2025, in Falls City. He was born October 27th, 1941, in Falls City to Lawrence and Eleanor (Kahlbau) Ebel.
He married Cheryl "Tootie" Willits on June 24th, 1962, in Falls City, where they established their home and raised their family.
Larry served as a member of the Nebraska National Guard.
Larry was raised in rural Falls City and attended Falls City High School. Following his schooling, he farmed with his father and drove a mail truck part-time on the Star Route for the postal service. In 1966 he began delivering feed for O.A. Cooper Company until the company closed in 2004. Later the same year he took over a mail route delivering for G & Z Trucking, which he enjoyed until he retired. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, playing cards, reading, watching QVC and cooking shows. And most of all, giving his grandchildren a hard time.
Larry is survived by his wife Cheryl "Tootie" of Falls City; Children Sandy Anno and her husband Dwaine Jr., Sherry Aitken and her husband David, Bob and his wife Stephanie, and Jeffery and his significant other Becky Littrel, all of Falls City; Sisters Carol Dodds and her husband Ron, Shirley Ebel, and Linda Ebel, all of Falls City, Sister-In Law Zita Ebel of Lincoln, NE, and Sharon Polson and her husband Delvin of Wymore, NE; Grandchildren Kristen (Eugene) Larsen, Katy (Woody) Klinger, Kassie (Jason) Stanley, Zach Baker, Rachel (Nathan) Murdoch, Nick Aitken, Tyler, Dillon, Zoe, Aiden and Zane Ebel, Thomas Aitken, Molly and Zavier Ebel; Great-grandchildren Evelyn Murdoch, Mason Simpson, Hadleigh, Hunter, and Haylen Stanley, Eliza Murdoch, Joel Baker, and Erison Murdoch; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers Ronald Joseph and Gene; and nephew Cody Jones.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Inurnment will be Steele Cemetery following the service.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Friends are welcome to sign the guest registry during regular business hours at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
