Jon Lee Moore, 83, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca, Kansas, after a courageous battle with cancer for eleven years.

Jon was born on January 30, 1942, to Tyberous Moore and Frances Moore in York County, Virginia. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1966 and was stationed in Thailand and Cambodia. He was a member of the SAC AF Base refueling regiment, where his job entailed refueling B-47 aircraft.

Jon married Ruth Ann Parker in 1966, and they were blessed with three children, Scott, Adam, and Kimberly. The couple later divorced. On November 2, 2013, Jon married Marjean Severin, and they made their home in Seneca. Jon had a true passion for golf, which was his favorite hobby, and he also enjoyed spending time with friends on the golf course.

Jon was preceded in death by his son, Adam Moore, and his two brothers, Billy Moore and Steven Moore.

Jon is survived by his wife, Marjean Moore of Seneca; his son, Scott (Carolyn) Moore; his daughter, Kimberly (Chad) Rafoth; his seven grandchildren, Sydney Moore, Alex (Alexander) Vest, Ashley Vest, Amber (Gage) Wiser, Brandon Rafoth, Matthew Rafoth, and Caroline Rafoth; his two sisters, Beverly Booth and Esther Cox; and his niece, Lisa Moore.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Popkess Memorial Chapel in Seneca. Following the memorial service, military honors will be conducted by the Seneca VFW Post 7458 and the American Legion Post 21 at the Spring Creek Golf Course in Seneca. The family wishes to invite everyone attending the services to lunch at the Spring Creek Golf Course Clubhouse following the services.
