Sebastian "Subby" Lombardo , 96, Falls City, Nebraska went to heaven on May 13, 2025.

He was born May 4, 1929; The son of Salvatore (Sam) and Maria Miceli Lombardo. Subby attended schools in Omaha, NE.

Sebastian was married to Betty Chapin on January 10, 1950 at Council Bluffs, IA. They were later divorced. A son and daughter were born to this union. He then married Blanche C. Rowan on January 3, 1966. Blanche passed away March 20, 2003. A daughter was born to this union. He then married Dorothy P. Koenig Faller on April 16, 2004.

Sebastian was a policeman in Council Bluffs, IA. And also worked part time for Cutler Funeral Home. He also was in the restaurant and lounge business with his brothers Jim and Joseph; in Omaha and surrounding areas of Nebraska and Council Bluffs. Sebastian moved to Falls City Nebraska in December of 1961 as manager of the Elks Club.

He later started Fireside Inn in November of 1964 until 1974. He also operated the Falls City ambulance; Subby's Auto Mart and Body Shop; Falls City Cab Company and a transportation line for the railroad workers. He later purchased the Southside Inn Bar and Grill in 1990 and ran the business until retiring in August of 2003.

Mr. Lombardo served in the Army during the occupation of Germany and Austria as a medical technician. After being injured, he was flown to Brook General Hospital in Sam Huston, Texas, upon recovery, Subby was a signed to Brook General to the pathology lab and morgue division as an assistant to the officer of the day working post mortems.

Sebastian is a member St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, VFW post #1765; American Legion post #102; and The Elks and the country club in Falls City Nebraska.

While living in Stockton, Missouri; Sebastian and Dorothy were one of the four couples who started Lake Stockton Elks Lodge #2858 in July of 2009.

Mr. Lombardo is survived by his wife Dorothy, son, Marty Lombardo of Omaha, NE, daughter, Ann Maria and husband Scott of Louisville, KY, stepchildren, William "Bill" and wife Mary Rowan of Falls City, Barbara and husband Julian Tyler of Lincon, NE, Betty and husband Douglas Merz, Falls City and Brad Rowan, twenty-one grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sebastian was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Louis Hill and Pauline Ruth, brothers, James and Joseph Lombardo, daughter, Lynn Durham, grandson, Nickolas Shepard, and sister-in-law, Frances Lombardo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10:30 AM with Father Jim Meysenburg as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
