Tonja Jean Madden, 61, of Atchison, KS died on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at her home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date and time.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Atchison Humane Society and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the cremation services. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.
Tonja was born on December 9. 1963 in DeKalb, MO the daughter of Jack and Mary (Ostertag) Bains. She had worked as a display representative for Hallmark Cards. She also worked as a waitress and bar tender for various places including Knights of Columbus, MO-KAN, in Winthrop MO, and the American Legion. Tonja enjoyed bowling and collected rocks, and rabbits.

She was married to Alva Madden on Nov. 19, 1999. Mr. Madden survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons Stephen Michael Searcy, and Dustin Kyle Searcy, Atchison, KS, three brothers Jack Bains, Jr, Rushville, MO, Jeffrey Curtis Navinsky, Atchison, KS and Johnnie Navinsky, of Florida, three sisters Kathy Horton, North Carolina, Connie Caldwell, St. Joseph, MO, and Nicole 'Carlene' Cargill, Kansas City, MO, and seven grandchildren.

Her parents preceded her in death.
