Joyce (Kentopp) Repp

Joyce (Kentopp) Repp was born to Marvin and Marie (Veigel) Kentopp on October 2, 1948 in Falls City, Nebraska. Joyce was the oldest of six girls born to this union. She grew up in Salem, Nebraska, attended Salem elementary through the eighth grade and Falls City High School.

She was united in marriage to Robert Repp. Robert adopted her two daughters Michelle and Sheila. Joyce and Bob added their daughter Lori to complete their family.

Joyce worked at Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh for 23 years. After leaving Campbell Soup, she worked as a CNA full time in different facilities including the Tecumseh Care Center and in Beatrice until 2007, when she had to go on disability. Joyce grew up in the Lutheran faith and later moved to the Methodist Church.

Joyce enjoyed following her grandkids and their sports and activities, collecting bells, watching birds, singing and dancing, playing cards and dominoes, and visiting with friends and neighbors while residing at the Tecumseh Manor for a number of years.

Joyce entered Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse when her health declined. She passed away there August 13, 2025 at the age of 76 years.

She is survived by her loving daughters Sheila Repp, Lori (Scott) Speckmann and Shelly Howard (Danny Packett), grandchildren Ana Ahrens, William (Jennifer) Speckmann, David Speckmann and Robert Schmiegelow and twin great-grandchildren Montgomery and Magnolia Ahrens, sisters Mary Miller, Janet (Lawrence) Rowland, Leona (Sherman) Rowland, one nephew, many nieces and many friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Martha and sister Virginia Fouraker and husband Edwin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Pastor Tom Earhart officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh, Nebraska.

Memorials may go to the family's choice.

Inurnment will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025 in the Maple Cemetery, Salem, Nebraska.
