Ray Hatt
Hiawatha , KS
Ray Hatt of the Hiawatha area passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at The Pines South, in Hiawatha. Sioux City, Iowa was where he was born on Nov. 2, 1931 and was raised there prior to serving in the Korean War. Ray owned and operated a dental lab in Omaha, Nebr. most of his working life before retiring and moving to the Hiawatha area.
Ray was a former member of BPOE of Falls City Elks Lodge, VFW of Omaha, and a Mason at Morning Side Lodge In Sioux City.
He is survived by his companion, Bonnie Reetz of Hiawatha; a daughter Lisa Hanus and her husband Dan of Omaha; and a son Steve Hatt of Denver, and 2 granddaughters Alexandra and Andrea Hanus.
Ray's wishes were to be cremated. A visitation for family and friends will held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Pines or Brown County Historical Society, which may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S 7th St., Hiawatha, 66434.
