Arlene E. Miller, 88, of Rulo, NE, passed away May 8, 2014 at Lincoln, NE. She was born June 9, 1925 near Arago, NE to the late Henry and Anna (Meinzer) Scholl.

On November 3, 1940 she married Fred Miller at Oregon, MO at the courthouse.

Arlene was raised in the Arago area and when married the couple established their home in Arago. She was a homemaker and farm wife her entire life. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.

Arlene is survived by her son, James and his wife Judy of Falls City, granddaughter, Glenda Martinson of Hiawatha, KS, great-granddaughters, Carissa and Brianna both of Hiawatha, a great-great-grandson, Camden, great-nephew, Vernon Buckminster of Rulo, great-niece, Elaine Craig of Falls City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Herman, Elmer and Paul Scholl, sisters, Marie Vardano, Dorothy Robertson, Esther Candless and Lucille Thompson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Weinert officiating. Interment will be in Rulo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
