Florence Williams-Bey, 90, Atchison, Kansas died Monday, May 26, 2014 at Atchison Medicalodge.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.  The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.  There will be no scheduled visitation prior to the graveside service.

Florence was born January 2, 1924 in Memphis, Tennessee the daughter of William and Ollie Atkins Bruce.  She attended schools in the Memphis area.

She and Arnold J. Williams were united in marriage in Chicago, Illinois.  Mr. Williams preceded her in death on September 16, 1992.

Florence served in domestic services in hotels and many private residences, and as a chef during her entire working career.

Survivors include three brothers, Robert Bruce, Denver, CO, William Bruce, Jr., Chicago, IL, Sammie Bruce, Memphis, TN, three sisters, Katheryn Taylor, Memphis, TN, Mabel E. Mead, Memphis, TN, Doris Jean Davis, Memphis, TN, brother-in-law, Donald Bey, Atchison, KS and a special friend and caregiver, Mary Lou Boldridge, Atchison, KS.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Bruce, three sisters, Blanche Bruce, Carrie Tramble and Ruthe Mae Potts.
