Luella Baer, age 96, of Humboldt, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 23, at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, with Reverend Matthew Mortenson officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt. Family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.  

Interment will be at the DuBois Cemetery in DuBois, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials contributions are suggested to the Humboldt Fire and Rescue Squad.

Luella is survived by her daughter Shirley Wiese and her husband Richard of Montgomery, TX; sons Ted Baer and his significant other Linda Ash of Norfolk, NE, and John Baer and his wife Tammy of Council Bluffs, IA; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
