The Falls City, City Council this week agreed to support two City Wide Clean-up Days in 2012.
Hope Schawang said the group that organized the first such event in 2011 felt such a program twice a year would be better for the citizens of Falls City. ( play audio :11 seconds )
The City will pay the tonage charge to have the disposed of items hauled to the Brown County Landfill. Schawang said the group is working with County Commissioners on a program to get rid of items such as computers and office machines and working on recycling in the community.
The cleanup days are tentatively scheduled for April and in October. More details will be presented soon.
