The board of directors of Hiawatha-based Ag Partners Cooperative has hired an Iowa man has the company’s new president and CEO.
In a press release, the board announced today ( Wednesday ) the hiring of Stan Remington. Remington will begin work with the coop on June 12th.
The board said they interviewed several well-qualified candidates, ultimately choosing Remington.
He is currently employed by Sand Seed Service, Inc. of Marcus, Iowa, which is located in the northwest corner of the state.
Remington has an extensive agricultural and business background, being employed the past 20 years by various companies including ADM, Monsanto, and Midland Marketing. He received his Ag Business Degree from Fort Hays State University.
Remington and his fiance, JoAnn, have six children ranging in age from middle school to college. They are planning a wedding this month.
Ag Partners has consolidated sales of more than $120 million and assets close to $50 million. The company operates in northeast Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Iowa. Core business lines include grain, crop inputs, petroleum, and feed.
