Husker Women's Basketball Team to host ACC Power
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska hosts national women's basketball power Maryland on Nov. 28 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The Cornhuskers' matchup with the Terrapins was announced Tuesday. It is among 12 games pitting Big Ten teams against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents on Nov. 28-29.
Maryland finished last season 31-5 and No. 5 in The Associated Press Top 25. The Terps won the ACC title and played host to first- and second-round NCAA tournament games as a No. 2 seed. They reached the regional finals.
Nebraska last met Maryland in the second round of the 2008 NCAA tournament. Maryland won 76-64.
The Huskers return four starters from a team that went 24-9.
