A 25-year-old Lancaster man, accused of abusing a two year old girl, will face a jury in August.
The trial for Brandon Mottin was set following his recent not guilty plea entered in Doniphan County District Court.
Mottin is charged with aggravated Battery in connection with the April 4th incident involving his girlfriend’s daughter.
The two year old child of Cassie Collins, of Highland, was taken to Hiawatha Community Hospital with severe burns and bruises.
Following an initial examination, the child was transferred to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, where she remained a patient for two weeks.
Collins has already pleaded guilty.
Mottin remains held in the Doniphan County Jail on 100-thousand-dollars bond.
