Brown County based rescue crews rushed to the scene of a two vehicle crash, happening over the noon hour Tuesday, on U.S. Highway 73.
Occurring just north of the KNZA studios, Brown County Sheriff John Merchant says a car was attempting to turn, when a following pick-up truck collided into the rear of that vehicle(Play Audio)
The driver of the car, rear ended in the wreck, is identified as Nancy Jackson, of Robinson.
The driver of the pick-up was Ivan Henry, of Hiawatha. His passenger, John Russell, also a Hiawatha resident, is the one who suffered the minor injuries.
Merchant, meanwhile, commends the work of the agencies that provided assistance at the scene(Play Audio)
Included among the numerous agencies that responded were EMS crews from Brown County and Horton.
A utility crew was also called in, working to upright a power pole knocked crooked in the crash.
A stop sign also suffered the impact of the collision, knocked to the ground from its foundation.
