Drought Forecast to Continue
All areas in Nebraska are now in extreme or exceptional stages of drought. Senior Agriculture Meteorologist at D-T-N, Bryce Anderson, says typical drought conditions last 15 to 18 months. We are getting close to ending that cycle now. (play audio :21)
Anderson says weather models show dry conditions will likely continue through the fall with above normal temperatures. Anderson says if we’re lucky, some timely rains will fall. (play audio 14)

Anderson warns it is possible for the hardest hit drought areas to finish 2012 in a continued drought state.
