(KLZA) Five Rivers Resource Conservation and Development will sponsor an electronics collection event in Pawnee City, at the county shop at 345 5th Street on Saturday, October 20th from 9 a-m until noon.
This event will give Pawnee County residents an opportunity to get rid of items including computer monitors and towers, televisions of all sizes, printers, fax machines, keyboards and computer peripherals,stereo components and other such items including appliances such as refrigerators and any type of batteries.
The event is open to all households in and surrounding Pawnee County.
Each household is allowed to bring one complete computer system free of charge. For additional computers systems and 19 inch or smaller TV’s there will be a $5 fee and a $10 fee for a TV that is 21 inches or bigger.
Confidential information on computer hard drives should be removed using a wipe drive program or reformatting the hard drive prior to recycling.
