(KTNC) - A session will be held at the Agriculture Research Development Center near Mead on November 29th.  The meeting aims to help beef producers about managing beef cowherds during drought.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension Educator Monte Stauffer says the session is part of the Mid-Plains BEEF Educational Series.  (play audio   :18    “we could use.”)
Stauffer says the event will also cover topics such as nitrate testing and feeding.   (play audio   :19     “is a problem.”)
The Mid-Plains BEEF Educational Series is an effort by Extension educators to teach cattle producers about important drought management techniques.  Dr. Richard Randle will speak about some ongoing research at the Agriculture Research Development Center.  (play audio   :19    “to treat those.”)
There is a $60 cost to attend the workshop, and pre-registration is due by this Wednesday (November 21).  Call your local extension office for more information, or call the A-R-D-C at Mead…402-624-8000.
