(KAIR) -- One person was injured Thursday evening on U.S. 159 about two miles east of Muscotah.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1996 Ford Mustang driven by 38-year-old Rebecca Gann of Atchison was westbound when she made a U-Turn in front of an eastbound 2001 Buick Century driven by 75-year-old Benjamin Tremmel, also of Atchison.
The Tremmel vehicle then struck the Gann vehicle, causing the Gann vehicle to overturn in the south ditch shortly after 7 o'clock.
Rebecca Gann was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center in Saint Joseph.
Three occupants in her vehicle, 15-year-old River, and 12-year-old Savannah Gann and 54-year-old Cindy Whaley, all of Atchison, were not hurt.
Neither was Tremmel.
The patrol says all the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
