(KLZA) A rural Verdon home is a total loss following a fire Wednesday night.
The Verdon Fire Department and Falls City Rural Fire Department was called Phil Doerr residence on 713 Road about 10 o'clock.
Doerr was not home when the fire started.
No injuries were reported fighting the blaze.
The Fire Marshall said that a wood stove was the cause of the fire.
Firemen were on the scene until about 3:30 Thursday morning extinguishing the blaze.
