(KLZA) Richardson County Commissioners have approved pay increases for two positions.
The commission Tuesday approved 2.5 percent pay raises for Emergency Management Director Jim Gerweck and Veterans Service Officer Ralph Huettner.
Gerweck’s annual salary will be $40,284 and Huettner will be paid $28,356.
Gerweck updated Commissioners on the improvements being made to the radio communications for County departments and presented the job description for the emergency manager for the Commissioners to review before advertising for someone to train for the position.
The Board approved the formation of a committee to review payroll following suggestions from the auditor.
Quotes for work on the exterior of the Richardson County Courthouse around the jail area were reviewed. The Board awarded the work on this part of the project to Hunzeker Masonry of Humboldt in the amount of $8,700. JEM Restoration had submitted a quote for this work at $14,400.
