( KMZA )--Two highways in Marshall County will be closed for Union Pacific railroad crossing replacements projects, beginning this weekend.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says both lanes of K-99 northeast of Beattie will be closed beginning at 7 o’clock Saturday morning. The highway is to reopen to traffic at 5 o’clock Sunday evening, weather permitting.
Then beginning Monday morning at 7 o’clock, both lanes of U.S. 36 east of Home City will be closed. The highway is to reopen to traffic at 5 o clock Tuesday evening, weather permitting
Marked detours will be provided
Drivers should expect some delays and must use alternate routes during the roadway closures.
