(KTNC) - A number of Falls City High School students are being recognized for their artwork.
Eight Falls City High School students will be honored at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, scheduled Saturday in Omaha. This is the 90th anniversary for the awards.
The students’ artwork will be on display at the Omaha Public School’s Teacher Administration Center from February 28th through March 27th.
Falls City students winning Gold Key Awards were Austin Schaible, Vincent Bennett, Sydney Armbruster, and Krystal Samqua. Austin Schaible and Brooke Scheitel won Silver Key Awards. Della Peek, Anastasia Finner, and Allyson Scholl were awarded Certificates of Merit.
The awards are based on originality, technical proficiency, and expression.
Works that receive Gold Key recognition will be judged against other Gold Key works from across the country. The national winners will be announced on March 15th.
