(KLZA) Pawnee County Commissioners have approved an Interlocal Agreement with Johnson County for Emergency Management Services and the Monetary Agreement for Emergency Management Services.  The agreement did not indicate an amount Pawnee County will pay Johnson County for the services.  The fees will be paid quarterly and the fee is to be reviewed annually.

Alex Shada and John Mabry with the Food Bank of Lincoln met with the Board.  The Lincoln Food Bank serves 16 counties and has received great support in Pawnee County.  They have the back pack program in Pawnee  City which supplies 34 food filled back packs each Friday.  In 2012 35,733 pounds of food were distributed in Pawnee County.

Food is distributed on the fourth Friday of each month between 3 and 4 p-m with approximately 60 individuals receiving 25 – 30 pounds of food.  Southeast Nebraska Community Action is a partner agency in these projects.

The Pawnee County Board approved bids for two culvert projects.  Lewiston North and Pawnee City Northwest, the Blecha project were awarded to Gus Construction of Casey, Iowa in the amount of $233,679 with the County to do the dirt work.
