(KTNC) - A Falls City factory will be closing its doors.
Ames True Temper announced in a press release Wednesday that it plans to close its Falls City facility over the next several months.
The company says it will consolidate its Falls City operations into its facility in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Camp Hill is the location of Ames True Temper’s U.S. Headquarters. The company says it is reducing its manufacturing footprint to “improve operational efficiencies and cost structures.”
The process of closing the Falls City plant will begin soon and will be complete by December.
Ames True Temper has approximately 35 employees in Falls City. They will be offered severance pay based on the number of years they’ve been with the company.
Ames True Temper is a subsidiary of New York-based Griffon Corporations. It manufactures a variety of hand and garden tools.
