(KTNC) - Peru State College and the City of Peru will team up to clean up the town. “Clean up 2013” is planned for Friday, April 19, from 9:00 a.m. till Noon.
Volunteers can meet at City Hall at 9:00 that morning for the event. Volunteers will then canvass the town to pick up items left curbside. Items to be picked up include: bagged garbage, metal and scrap iron, furniture, carpet, appliances, televisions, computers and accessories, lawn mowers, snow blowers, bicycles, and office equipment.
Last year, more than 120 Peru State students, faculty, staff, and community members participated in the annual clean up effort.
Peru residents should leave items by the curb before 9:00 a.m. on the 19th. Anyone who needs assistance in getting items to the curb can contact Cindy Moran at 402-872-6685.
