Doniphan Co Appoints Road Superintendent
( KNZA )-The Doniphan County Commission has filled the new position of road superintendent.
The county commission voted Monday to appoint 1st District Road Foreman Robert “ Bobby” Edie to the new position. Edie has worked for the county 34 years.
The commission appointed Roger Hopkins to replace Edie as 1st District foreman. He had served as deputy foreman.
With his new position, Edie will receive an annual pay increase of 52-hundred dollars.
He will oversee the road and bridge department. Each district will retain their respective foreman.
The reorganization will be implemented on a trial basis with the commissioners review at six months and one year.
