(KNZA)--Earth Day ceremonies are set in Holton Wednesday afternoon, happening at Public Wholesale Water Supply District #18, with USDA Rural Development in attendance.
The Mayor, Water District Board members and USDA staff will be there for the celebration, expected to include an announcement from USDA regarding water and environmental projects funded in fiscal year 2013.
Following the ceremony, tours of the Water District #18 water treatment plant will be conducted.
In July of last year, USDA Rural Development provided the water district with financing to replace the district's water filtration system, with those upgrades now completed.
The ceremony is expected to begin at 1:00.
