(KAIR)--A 22-year-old Horton man, arrested in early March after he allegedly fired a weapon in an Atchison neighborhood, has entered a plea in Atchison County District Court.
Danny Groshong, who is charged as a felon in possesion of a firearm, pled not guilty during his appearance Friday.
Atchison County Attorney Gerald Kuckelman says a jury trial for Groshong is now set for June 18th.
Groshong was charged with the weapons violation based on his criminal background.
Meanwhile, he faces a probation revocation hearing May 24th in Brown County. Groshong was convicted in 2008 of rape as a juvenile. He now faces a prison sentence for allegedly violating terms of his probation
