Meriden Man Arrested after Suspected Road Rage Incident
05/13/2013

(KAIR) -- A 19-year-old Meriden man was taken into custody after a suspected road rage incident Friday afternoon.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office alleges that Daryl Starkebaum was traveling on K-4 highway south of Meriden just before five when he passed a vehicle with a 13-year old boy and his mother.

The mother alleges after they were passed, Starkebaum slamming on his brakes as well as pointed a gun at them.

Sheriff Jeff Herrig says the victim was able to obtain the tag number. Authorities later located and arrested Starkebaum at his home on the charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

Herrig says the incident is believed to be a random act as the two parties didn’t know each other.
