(KAIR) -- The monitoring of a high profile road closure in Atchison has led to an arrest on drug charges for one of those that drove through it.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says 21-year-old Cody Beene of Atchison was taken into custody early late Monday evening.

As a result, Beene has been booked on charges of possession of marijuana, LSD and drug paraphernalia.
Beene remains in Atchison County Jail awaiting bond and formal charges.
Wilson says since the road was closed in late 2012 as part of the final touches of the Amelia Earhart Bridge project, officers have made dozens of traffic stops for vehicles driving in the road closure and through the parking lot illegally.
