Richardson Co Commission Discusses Employee Health Insurance Options

 (KLZA) During Tuesday’s meeting of the Richardson County Commissioners, representatives of Benefit Management in Lincoln requested to meet with the Board to review the outcome of the employee informational meeting held last week regarding options available for county employee health insurance.

A number of County elected officials and employees attended the meeting in which questions were raised to the County Board and the representatives from Benefit Management.

Commissioners are considering forming a committee of county officials and / or employees to gather information and review the options available for the county employee health insurance.  

Eric Barr with the Falls City Chamber of Commerce met with the Board regarding use of the Courthouse restroom facilities and the yard to show an outdoor movie during the Cobblestone Festival on Saturday, August 24th. 

Commissioners approved the use of the restroom facilities from 9 a-m until 5 p-m and the yard on Saturday and that the Chamber request the City have the restrooms at the Falls City Library accessible as well.

A representative of Nebraska Machinery Company met with Board members to review options for repairing/overhauling a motor grader.

Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert reported repairs to roads and tubes from damages to the recent storms and heavy rains are being made.  He also noted two part-time employees have been hired.
