(KAIR) -- A 29-year-old Belton, Missouri man has pleaded guilty to his role in a multi-county two state chase in late April.

Jacob Abney pled guilty to one count of felony fleeing and eluding law enforcement Friday in Atchison County District Court.

He was the passenger in a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Trenton Wiseman of Blue Springs, Missouri that led authorities on a chase from Buchanan County, Missouri, through Atchison and Brown Counties in Kansas, before the truck became stuck on a Nemaha County road.

The truck had been stolen out of Platte County, Missouri.

Wiseman pled guilty to charges in late May and sentencing is set for June 24th.

Abney’s sentencing is set for July 19th.

Country Attorney Gerald Kuckelman says Abney qualifies for a presumptive prison term.

Abney currently faces charges in Platte County for first degree tampering with a motor vehicle as the result of the alleged incident.
