( KMZA )-A felony charge filed earlier this year in Nemaha County against Rebecca Hollister has been dismissed.
Hollister, of Topeka, was charged in March with aiding a felon-- her husband, Roger Hollister, avoid arrest after the 2009 murder of 58-year-old Patricia Kimmi of rural Horton.
Roger Hollister died March 20th at the El Dorado Correctional Facility while serving a life prison term for Kimmi’s death.
Nemaha County Attorney Brad Lippert filed the motion to dismiss Wednesday, stating “ an essential state witness died, making it difficult for the state to proceed further with the prosecution of the matter.”
District Court Judge Jim Patton granted the state's motion and signed an order of dismissal.
