OPPD Plans Public Meetings
06/19/2013

(KTNC) - The Omaha Public Power District has scheduled a series of public meetings as the utility develops its Stakeholder Engagement Process.
OPPD officials say they want the public’s perspective on the utility’s relationship with the community, the current stakeholder engagement process, and what can be improved so that future projects and initiatives are appropriately communicated to the public.
Eleven meetings are scheduled across OPPD’s service territory.
Locally, a meeting will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 24th, at the Meeting Place in Humboldt.
A meeting will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 Monday afternoon at the Lewis and Clark Missouri River Visitor Center in Nebraska City.
Those unable to attend a meeting in person can participate in an online open house at
www.OPPDListens.com. The online forum is available through July 3rd.
OPPD provides electricity to more than 350,000 customers in 13 counties in southeast Nebraska.
