(KTNC) The Richardson County Commission Tuesday received an inmate health care proposal.
Sheriff Randy Houser introduced Art Rose of Advanced Correctional Healthcare who made a presentation to the Board on a program to provide health care treatments to inmates of the jail. The proposed cost for Richardson County would be $2,392 per month or $28,699 annually. No action was taken on the proposal.
In other business, Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert said he has been informed the Preston Road Project will have a slight delay because the contractor awarded the project has experienced difficulty. Earlier it was reported the contractor was running behind on other projects due to the wet spring weather, and that they are hoping to start the project to hard surface the road in July.
Huppert also informed Commissioners that right-of-way is being acquired for the Humboldt Northwest Project.
Commissioners approved an agreement with Julie Smith and Richard Smith to serve as deputy county attorneys at a fee of $5,000 per month.
Also Dick Arrington was reappointed to the Veterans Service Committee for a term of five years beginning July 1.
