Pawnee City Residents Reminded to Mow to Street
06/27/2013

(KTNC) - Pawnee City property owners may have to do more mowing this summer.  City Clerk Tammy Stephens says the city has placed ads in the newspaper reminding residents of a change that means people will have to mow a little extra property.  (play audio  :43    “doing that.”)
The Pawnee City Council reviewed the ad during its meeting Monday evening.
In other business, Stephens says the council approved adding two thousand feet of sewer slip lining to the city budget.  (play audio  :21  “two thousand feet.”)
The council also approved a request to run traffic both ways on the one-way street in front of the school during the Fair Parade, which will follow the same route as last year.  The theme of this year’s parade is “20 years celebrating the rodeo.”
The council approved a request to close F Street between 6th and 7th Streets on Wednesday evenings for the Farmer’s Market.
And the council discussed proposed rate increases for NPPD as of January 1st.  (play audio  :27   “to 5-percent.”)
Stephens says those are just preliminary estimates and they’ll have more solid numbers closer to the first of the year.
