(KAIR)--A 36-year-old man is facing federal charges related to what authorities say were crimes committed earlier this year, including alleged criminal activity in a local northeast Kansas location.
Wesley Kelley is charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm while under indictment, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm while a fugitive from justice, one count of theft occurring at Fort Leavenworth and one count of interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says the crimes are alleged to have occurred in February and March in Leavenworth and Douglas Counties.
If convicted, Kelley faces up to 30 years in federal prison and up to a millon dollars in fines.
