(KLZA) -- Open House events are scheduled for the Johnson County Central School sites prior to school starting next Tuesday, August 20th.
An open house is scheduled for Thursday evening from 5 – 6 p-m at the Cook site. The meeting begins in the old gymnasium.
A walk-through will be held at 6 p-m allowing students an opportunity to walk through their class schedule, find their classrooms and meet their teachers.
Once the walk-through is completed, local EMT’s will conduct a screening test to establish a baseline for diagnosing concussions. All 7th an d8th grade students planning to participate in any sport must go through the screening before they will be allowed to participate.
The walk-through at the elementary site in Tecumseh will be 5 – 6 p-m on Monday, August 19th with the meeting to begin in the elementary auditorium at 5 p-m. Changes in attendance procedures will be highlighted for parents and students during the event.
In addition, there is an open house for pre school students in both Tecumseh and Cook on Thursday. In Cook the open house is from 6 – 6:45 p-m n the preschool room.
In Tecumseh the open house for morning preschool will be from 6 – 6:45 p-m followed by an open house for the afternoon preschool group from 7-7:45 p-m.
The first day of school for Johnson County Central Students is Tuesday, August 20th.
