(KAIR)--One person is transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident just after 1:00 Wednesday afternoon in Atchison.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, 89-year-old Dorothy Moccia, of Atchison, was traveling westbound on US 59 when she ran a red light and struck a Toyota truck driven by 44 year old Glen Greene of Platte City, who was traveling south of 14th street and was turning east onto US 59.
Moccia was transported to the Atchison hospital for possible head and back injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
