(KNZA)--A Topeka woman was arrested Friday night in Holton after leading Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies on a chase in a stolen van.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse said 26-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Giner was booked into the Jackson County Jail for felony possession of stolen property, fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer in the commission of a felony, and driving while having a suspended license.
Morse says shortly before 10 Friday night deputies attempted to stop a 2002 Dodge Caravan several miles south of Holton that had been reported stolen from St. Francis Hospital in Topeka Thursday night. The van failed to stop and continued northbound. The vehicle eventually stopped near the junction of U.S.75 and K-16 Highways in Holton where Giner was taken into custody.
