(KMZA)-- Two Seneca teenagers face charges in connection with three burglaries in Seneca early Monday morning.
Seneca Police Chief Brent Schulte says 18-year-old Dagan Solberg and a 16-year-old male juvenile face charges of burglary, theft and criminal damage to property in connection with break-ins at Nemaha Valley Motors, the Log Cabin Cafe and the Temple of Honor Museum.
Schulte says officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress at the Nemaha Valley Motors building at 607 North Street around 3 Monday morning. A witness reported seeing two males inside the business. The witness then observed one suspect leave the area on foot and the other in a vehicle.
A Nemaha County Sheriff’s deputy stopped the suspect vehicle near 11th and Justianna, where Solberg was taken into custody and booked into the Nemaha County Jail.
Schulte says nothing was reported missing from the business.
He says the Log Cabin Cafe on East North Street and Temple of Honor Museum on North 6th Street had also been burglarized.
Schulte says police continued the investigation and located the second suspect as reported by the initial witness. Recovered from a residence at 316 ½ Main Street was uniforms taken from the Temple of Honor Museum and cash that had been taken from the Log Cabin Cafe. The juvenile was transported to the law enforcement center and turned over to Juvenile Intake for processing.
