(KNZA)--A three vehicle Tuesday afternoon crash in Sabetha sent three people to the hospital.
It happened just minutes into the noon hour when Tanja Rokey, of Seneca, was in the southbound lane of Old 75 Highway, attempting to turn east onto Oregon Street.
Apparently not seeing a northbound Chevy driven by Nicholas Larson, of Horton, Sabetha Police Chief Robert Wahwasuck says Rokey made the turn, which caused Larson to collide into Rokey's passenger side. Rokey's Dodge Stratus left the roadway, jumped the curve, colliding with a Chevy Impala, driven by Clifford Banks, of Bern, that was sitting stationary at the intersection, waiting to make a turn.
Rokey, Larson and Larson's passenger, Links Brown, of Hiawatha, were all transported from the scene for hospitalized treatment, while Banks escaped injury.
Wahwasuck says the three who were hurt are not believed to have been wearing seat belts at the time of the wreck.
