(KNZA)--September is National Preparedness Month, a time set aside to encourage readiness for any and all types of disasters.
Timed with the month long awareness is an expo in Holton Saturday, focused on preparedness strategies.
Hosted by the Kansas Preppers organization, member Sam Axe says the family friendly event will feature door prizes, more than 50 vendors, and educational classes.
Admission into the Kansas Prepper Expo is a free will donation.
It will be held at the Jackson County 4-H building, at 5th and Dakota in Holton, running from 9 until 4:00 Saturday.
