(KMZA)--A two-vehicle accident on an area northeast Kansas highway claims the life of a Hanover man.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 65-year-old Larry Mueller was killed Tuesday morning after his pickup was struck by a semi tractor-trailer trying to pass on U.S. 36 in Washington County.
The Patrol says Mueller was traveling east behind a farm implement when the semi truck tried to pass. The semi couldn’t complete the pass and moved back into the right lane, hitting Mueller’s truck.
Mueller was transported to the Washington County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The semi driver wasn’t hurt.
The accident was reported around 11 Tuesday morning about six miles east of Washington.
