(KAIR)--An Atchison woman is facing several charges after a domestic disturbance turns violent.
Atchison police were called to the 1400 block of South 8th shortly after 5:00 Thursday evening for a report of a disturbance. Police Chief Mike Wilson says that when police arrived, they found that the situation had turned violent. He said when 55-year-old Katherine Seals drove away from the residence she allegedly ran over her 64-year-old husband, Joseph, as he was trying to get into the vehicle.
Joseph Seals was transported to Atchison hospital, and later flown to the KU Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of his injuries. Katherine Seals was arrested and booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges of aggravated battery and driving under the influence. Bond has not been set.
