(KNZA)--A Horton woman is dead, and her two-year-old passenger injured, following a single vehicle rollover crash Saturday afternoon in Osage County.
The Kansas Highway patrol identifies the victm as 37-year-old Rochelle Rae Roach. She was driving eastbound on K-268, around 4 miles west of Pomona, when her Ford Explorer entered the south ditch for unknown reasons.
Roach overcorrected, causing the SUV to skid across both lanes of traffic, enter the north ditch, and roll over two times.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, while two-year-old Bryson Roach was transported to Topeka's Stormont-Vail for treatment of his injuries.
The Patrol says she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the fatal crash, and it's unknown if the child was restrained.
The wreck remains under investigation.
