Horton Search Warrant Leads to Six Drug Related Arrests

(KNZA)--Five adults and one juvenile are arrested on drug-related charges following the execution of a search warrant in Horton Friday evening. 

That followed a joint afternoon investigation between the Horton Police Department and Kickapoo Tribal Police that later involved the Brown County Sheriff's Department. 

According to a press release from Horton Police Chief John Calhoon, the search warrant was executed at 1031 Central Avenue, where the owners, 45-year-old Timothy Homan and 64-year-old Brenda Homan, were arrested for hosting minors.  Additionally, they were arrested for possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. 

Also taken into custody was 53-year-old Falls City resident Glen Scotton. He was arrested on charges of distribution of narcotics within 1000 feet of a school and possession of controlled substances. 

20-year-old Robert Savago, of Tecumseh, Nebraska, was arrested on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in consumption and interference with law enforcement. 

19-year-old Horton resident Gabriel Whedbee was taken into custody for possession of controlled substances, unlawfully obtaining and distributing a prescription only drug, distribution within 1000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

A 17-year-old Horton juvenile was arrested for minor in consumption and possession of a controlled substance. The teen was given a notice to appear and released to a parent. 

Formal charges are under the review of the Brown County Attorney's Office.
