(KAIR)--Prison is the sentence for an Atchison man accused of robbing and severely beating an Atchison man in October of last year.
Charles Paradise learned his fate in Atchison County District Court this week, sentenced to more than seven years in prison for the aggravated robbery of Rusty Folsom.
The 55-year-old Folsom, who died in January of this year, was attacked at his home in the 900 block of north 10th Street on October 29th last year. Police say Paradise knocked on Folsom's door during the early evening, and when the door opened, beat him in the head causing severe injuries.
Investigators say Paradise took Folsom's wallet and fled the scene.
Paradise, 23-years-old at the time of the crime, was arrested in January when located in Buchanan County, Missouri.
