(KNZA)--An arrest has been made in connection with the August shooting death of a man in Doniphan County.
Doniphan County authorities Tuesday arrested 25-year-old Eric Burge on a charge of second degree murder in connection with the death of 25-year-old Matthew Sollars.
Additionally, Burge faces a charge of unlawful discharge of a firearm in an occupied dwelling along with hosting a party that included minors.
Following his arrest, Burge was booked into the Doniphan County Jail where he's held on bond of $500,000. He's scheduled to appear in a Doniphan County Courtroom Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
The KBI assisted the Doniphan County Sheriff's Department with the investigation of the case.
According to KQ2-TV, the investigation is continuing.
Sollars, a native of Leavenworth, died August 13th, one day after the shooting at the rural residence southwest of Troy.
