(KTNC) - A dinner Saturday evening aims to preserve a slice of Forest City history.
The fourth annual harvest dinner will be held at the Historic City Hall in Forest City, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Saturday. They’ll serve a traditional dinner of turkey and ham, with all the trimmings. Advance tickets are $12 per person or two for $22. Tickets at the door Saturday are $13 each.
Proceeds from the dinner will support the Drug Store Museum, which has one of the few original soda fountains remaining in the Midwest.
Volunteers staff the soda fountain during the summer months, and the building also houses various historic Forest City artifacts.
Spokesperson Becky Cotton says the money will go to make needed repairs, including roof repairs, to the historic building.
